Are you comfortable officiating a ceremony in a prison? My fiancé and I are looking for someone who would be comfortable going there and that would be available during the week. We unfortunately wouldnt know the date until we submit the JP’s information for approval. After the approval, we would be given the date. It would most likely be held during the week and we wouldn’t know that date/time until we’ve submitted paperwork with the JPs information (then they would give us the specifics). Hi Karen,
My request may be a bit unusual. My fiancé and I are “getting married” in Punta Cana on 4/21/23. My adult daughter is getting ordained to sign off on our wedding there (and we want that to truly feel like our one and only real wedding) but we want to ensure things are 100% legal by having a JP perform whatever minimal ceremony is necessary to legally marry us upon our return. I’m not sure what minimal amount of vows etc need to be exchanged to make it official but that’s what we are looking to do. 🙂
