Hello – My name is Eric, my fiance Jason and I are looking to get married in a small private ceremony by a justice of the peace at a town hall. We got engaged on Halloween of 2019 but once Covid hit we were hesitant to plan an actual wedding for safety concerns. Also, due to what’s happening in our government right now we feel like it would be in our best interest to get married in the very near future for fear that we may eventually lose that right. I’m not entirely sure how to go about scheduling something such as this at a town hall, so I figured I’d start by looking up Justices of the Peace and you popped up, and thanks to the pictures on your profile that show same sex marriages I wanted to reach out to you directly. How much does a simple marriage ceremony in town hall cost and is this something that happens in any town hall or only specific ones? We live in Burlington right near Bristol. Please let me know when you get a free moment if this is something you’d be potentially able to help us out with.
