Hi there! My fiance and I will be getting married quite soon due to his military orders. We currently live in Virginia Beach and wish to have a ceremony on top of Pitcher Mountain on March 27th around 9am. I grew up in NH and once I brought my fiance to NH, he instantly fell in love with the state. We had planned to have a courthouse wedding in Keene, but learned that we would need to find our own officiant. I figured that since we will be searching for our officiant we might as well find our own mini location instead of the courthouse. A tiny courthouse wedding has turned into a mountaintop ceremony with some family members. Since, my fiance is in the military, he took specific dates off for our wedding (again which we thought would be a simple courthouse ceremony) and now we are scrambling around looking for an officiant. Can you please help us?

Quick run down. We are putting together a small ceremony at Pitcher Mountain on March 27th (preferably around 9am). My fiance, Trey, is in the military and has orders to go to school to become a military police officer. Because of this news, we decided to shorten up our engagement and get married sooner rather than later so when he changes duty stations I will be able to join him. We planned this last month on a whim. We live in Virginia Beach, VA. We later learned that in NH you can’t just walk into a courthouse and get married like you can do down in VA. Sooo now we are scrambling around looking for an officiant. EEEEK!! Can you please help us??

We are interested to have you as our JP for our legal wedding ceremony before we elope in Italy the following week! Our ceremony on Aug. 1 will be short and sweet. No rings. Our immediately families will be there, standing. I’m considering having the ceremony at the CT Audubon Society’s forest in Fairfield CT. It’s small and flat and walkable. Would that be sometime you’d be interested in? Everyone would have to walk on the trail and over the small flat bridge for about 10 min to reach a good spot.
