We each have been married, then divorced, and then married again only to have our spouses each pass away. We are thrilled to have found each other and to be in lov and getting married, at our age (53 + 56). Since it will be the third time for both of us, our plan is to elope and be married in Hawaii or on some other tropical island in January 2020. However, we have adult children who want to be included and we want to be sure that our union is legal in MA. So our thought was to have a very simple/short ceremony officiated by a JP at the end of next month when our children who live out of state will be here in MA. We’ve never done this, so we don’t know where or how this is done. Do you come to just about any location in the listed counties? Do you know how many days we need to allow for obtaining a marriage license in MA? I’d be interested in speaking with you, if possible, to get a sense of how we do this and what we need to plan and/or be prepared for. Please let me know. Thank you so very much!
