Hi! I am from Mass. and was planning on having my brother be the officiant of our wedding but just realized that Conn. has different laws than Mass regarding this. From what I understand is that we need to have a JP do the legal side of this, so the marriage is valid. Would this be something you could help with? Our wedding is some time away but I want to try to get as much figured out as I can. I still want my brother to do most of the ceremony as this will be his role in the wedding. Is it possible to have a JP be present and help us plan the ceremony but have my brother do the speaking etc. and you do the legal end?
