We’re not looking for a ceremony as we will be having a Catholic ceremony in a few months. We have a two year old already and are just tired of not being recognized as unmarried!

I have not much knowledge as to exactly how everything comes about in reference to the ceremonial event, so if not too much to ask, may you please provide me with some insight as to the entire process of the event. General questions that I have are: Is there any specific costs in regards to the ceremony? If a couple has their marriage licenses that are not yet expired, is that all that is needed to follow through with the ceremony? Can the ceremony be held anywhere of the couple’s choosing? Being an experienced JOP, what are your suggestions as to how to follow through with the ceremony and is there any advice that you have to offer? If you had to choose, at what location do you think is best for the ceremony to be conducted? How long does the ceremony usually take in terms of time? Those are the main questions that I have at the moment. My fiancé and I are very excited about getting married, and we desire to hold a private justice of the peace ceremony so that we can make things official, then later on we expect to renew our vows during a open wedding ceremony in which family and friends will be invited.
